What is Rhassoul clay and why is it so beneficial? Rhassoul Clay is a naturally found reddish brown cosmetic clay that originates from Morocco. This clay is known for its incomparable ability to absorb impurities from the skin and hair and give the skin and hair highly helpful minerals. As a hair treatment, Rhassoul clay cleanses the hair, removing impurities, and leaves hair bouncy and voluminous.
As if that wasn't enough goodness in a shampoo bar we've added just a touch of tea tree oil, also known for its hair benefits. Tea tree oil has been said to induce hair growth, actually helping to unclog hair follicles and nourish your roots.

HOW TO USE A SHAMPOO BAR
If you have never used a shampoo bar, give it a try! To apply the shampoo, simply wet your hair, then gently "brush" the shampoo bar directly onto your hair. Just a few times will do the trick. Lather up well. If you feel like you need more lather, add more water before adding more shampoo. A little shampoo goes a long way! Another method of application is to wet your hair, then lather the shampoo bar in your hands. Set the bar aside and apply the lather directly to your hair. Repeat as necessary. Depending on your water and type of hair you may or may not need a conditioner or rinse. If you have hard water, you may choose to use a simple apple cider vinegar rinse, or follow up with homemade flaxseed gel which acts as a leave in conditioner as well as a styling gel. READ THIS IF YOU ARE NEW TO USING NATURAL SHAMPOO
Your hair typically goes through a transition period when switching to a natural shampoo. This period usually lasts 1-2 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair. During this time, the scalp is detoxing, which may result in oily feeling hair, and even pimples on your scalp. If you allow your scalp to complete the detox process, you will see beautiful results! We recommend continuing to use the natural shampoo during this process, trying to wash your hair only 2 times a week if possible.
FLAXSEED LEAVE IN CONDITIONER & STYLING GEL RECIPE
Boil 1/4 cup of whole flaxseeds in 2 cups of water for 5-10 mins. Strain out the seeds, put gel in a container and keep in the fridge. This gel will keep for about 7-10 days. After washing my curly, frizzy hair with our shampoo bars, I follow up with this gel. Our shampoo bars and this flaxseed gel are the only 2 things I use on my hair, and I love the results. My hair is no longer frizzy!
Please keep in mind that we only use natural teas, herbs and essential oils to add scent to our soaps and shampoos, so sometimes scents will be softer or lighter than soaps that use synthetic chemical fragrances.
Note: handmade bars of soap will last a long time if kept dry between uses and are kept out of direct streams of water. We recommend using a draining soap dish to make the most of your bar of soap.
This shampoo plus the occasional ac vinegar rinse has my hair looking like ALL THAT! I switched from regular shampoo and conditioner last month to just this bar and the vinegar water and I'm shocked how much better it is. I have a lot of fine pin straight hair that would just take a lot of shampoo and conditioner, and it would take so long but just like rubbing this bar on my head and lathering it up (I love a good lather) to me, is faster and easier, and then the ac rinse every now and then is the magic trick of the year! The Rhassoul shampoo bar is great. First, it works, to clean my hair well. Second, it lathers easily, like the instructions recommend. And lastly, it smells great. Every time I come back to their online marketplace, I try something new. I suspect that in a little while, my family will be getting most of our nonfood items here. We really like the smells - fresh and real - not the fake-perfumy headache inducing chemicals in everything commercially manufactured.
Absolutely love this shampoo. Lathers up easily and leaves hair squeaky clean but manageable. Will be getting more!
One bar was all it took to make this my new favorite shampoo/soap! Love the smell, texture and lather, plus it's long lasting and not 'slimy'..not just a great shampoo but a wonderful all-around soap. I had to get 5 more bars!
