Organic Tea tree is a very popular essential oil that can be traced back to the Aboriginal people of Australia. The leaves have been applied as a disinfectant and anti fungal agent. In the 1920's an Australian chemist began investigating Tea Tree's antiseptic properties and during World War II the Australian government made tea tree oil part of their first aid kits.
Organic Tea tree essential oil contains powerful anti inflammatory and disinfectant compounds which can treat insect bites, blemishes, burns, skin ailments, infected wounds, bruises, lice, and dandruff. It is also considered to be antiviral.
